Automation Resources Corporation began business back in January 1976 as Wingate & Associates, Inc., in Columbus, Ohio. The company was originally organized as a Digital Equipment Corporation OEM serving the insurance industry.
The very first product produced by ARC was an independent property and casualty insurance agency accounting system. This program was sold to Digital Equipment Corporation who in turn sold it many times over throughout the United States. It had solidly earned its reputation for accuracy ,efficiency and easy to use.
That early program was the beginning for what has become the leader in the auto quoting, underwriting, policy issuance, claims handling system for the new millennium. Tomorrow's technology is here today.
The company relocated to Florida in May, 1979. From 1979 to 1981, additional software applications were developed for CPA Client Write Up and Practice management, Group Life and Health Administration, General Accounting and Physician Practice Management.
In addition, the company has also developed computer based applications for manufacturing, wholesale/retail distribution, and staffing service industries.
In the early part of 1990 ARC developed the paper-less MGA/Company system. This copy-written system consists of quoting, policy writing, rating, underwriting, work flow management, accounting, claims handling, and loss statistics. The system was converted to GUI during 1992. Because this system is built around a relational database all information is available in a real time mode.
